Remarks | AgBr is soluble in acids and Ethanol. It is also very soft and shows (under pressure) cold liquidity. It is photochemical sensitive and the storage location has to be protected against light. It is corrosive in combination with metals, therefore binders has to consist of silver or teflon. IR optical windows can be produced by the process of hot forging by which an accurately weighed slug of cleaned material is forged against polished dies to produce a finished component in a cost effective manner. |
